Summit Leaders thanks Sandbox at DMZ for its support!

TORONTO, ON - Summit Leaders would like to thank the Sandbox at DMZ for its incredible support of the Summit Leaders program. In addition to providing sponsorship to Summit Leaders, Sandbox at DMZ generously hosted the Summit Leaders Regional Final Pitch Competition at its location in the Ryerson Student Learning Centre.

On May 18th, 2018, five students teams from Summit Leaders' partner high school in north Toronto competed for the chance to progress to Summit Leaders' National Finals Competition, and for the opportunity to interview for a spot in the DMZ's Basecamp program. The top two teams that will be interviewing for a spot in the Basecamp program are 6ix United, who came up with a versatile device for keeping beverages the perfect temperature, and PickUp, who developed a mobile application to help connect amateur sports players and arrange pick-up games. 6ix United was chosen to compete in Summit Leaders' National Finals.

Summit Leaders would also like to express its thanks to its amazing panel of judges, who participated in the event and provided valuable feedback to the student teams including Jamie Rosenblatt (Golden Ventures), Shereen Anis (Kid Koderz), Jake Cassaday (Relay Ventures), Soha Yasrebi (OMERS Ventures), David Pardy (Helpful), and Lily Wong (Schulich School of Business).
